Dear Horned Frogs,
As we approach the end of another great year at Texas Christian University, I want to say thank you to every Horned Frog in this incredible community. The dedication, passion and purpose for which you study, work and support one another has made 2024 a year of countless successes and immeasurable impact for TCU.
Looking back on the year, I’m proud of all the ways our Horned Frog faculty and staff have worked together to prepare future leaders, dream big about what the future holds and strengthen our values-centered community. Our students continue to amaze me and teach me something new every day! Seeing the next generation in action gives me incredible optimism about the future of our University, community and beyond.
Next year, as we begin to implement our LEAD ON: Values in Action strategic plan, we will continue to make every decision through the lens of our core values of integrity, engagement, community and excellence. TCU was founded 152 years ago with the intent to lead with values and place importance on character development. It’s inspiring to see our community continue this intent each day.
As you think about the holidays, the new year and both personal and professional goals ahead – I want to share a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson that inspires me:
“Enthusiasm is one of the most powerful engines of success. When you do a thing, do it with all your might. Put your whole soul into it. Stamp it with your own personality. Be active, be energetic, be enthusiastic and faithful, and you will accomplish your object. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.”
Horned Frogs, join me in embracing 2025 with enthusiasm. Together, it will be an exceptional year.
