Dear Horned Frogs,
It has been a magical year at Texas Christian University. As faculty and staff work to fulfill our mission and pour into the next generation of Horned Frogs, we’ve seen our students grow and thrive before our very eyes. We’ve accomplished great things and made a difference in the lives of our friends, colleagues, community, families and beyond.
And for me, as I reflect on my first year serving as TCU President, I could not be more grateful for every Horned Frog. It is a joy and the greatest of opportunities to work with you to achieve great things for TCU and our students and, together, dream of what the future holds.
This weekend, nearly 700 graduates will walk the stage, the final graduates of our 150th year – the class of 2023. Commencement is a special moment for our students, families, and the entire University. When I think about sending our graduates out into the world to begin their careers or continue their studies in graduate school, I am reminded of the words “a thrill of hope” from the song O Holy Night. Graduates, we are so proud of you, and we are filled with hope for what you will do with your degree and the impact you will make.
As the semester and year come to a close, I hope that all Horned Frogs take a moment to reflect on 2023, and that the “thrill of hope” brings you joy and peace now and into the New Year.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
