Hello, Horned Frogs, and thank you for visiting my blog, Leading On. As Texas Christian University President, I am thrilled to have a space to share perspectives on the exciting news and discoveries happening at TCU, highlight the amazing work of our outstanding students, faculty and staff, and contribute to thought leadership surrounding the important issues facing higher education today.
As your President, I have the honor of working alongside Chancellor Boschini and TCU’s outstanding leadership team to lead a diverse and talented community of faculty and staff who are passionate about education, innovation and the greater good. And I get to work with and learn from our incredible students daily – in the classroom as a professor of entrepreneurship and innovation and by connecting with students at events and meetings across campus. TCU’s campus experience is among the very best in the country. Our commitment to building community and academic excellence is what stands us apart as a world-class university, truly shaping the future.
Speaking of the future – while there are no crystal balls, I do know that our world is changing more rapidly than ever. It will take innovation, agility and sustainability for TCU to achieve our mission in the next 150 years.
In this blog, you’ll see regular posts about TCU’s successes and the challenges we face as we plan for the future, as well as reflections on various topics related to education, leadership, innovation and research. I will post about what I learn as I listen to colleagues and students, and the new things that I discover about TCU. I may, at times, invite other leaders across TCU to share their reflections as guest authors. I hope to engage with you through inclusive, meaningful dialogue and idea-sharing. Your feedback and suggestions are always welcomed and valued. You can share your ideas with me anytime.
Whether you are reading this as a student, faculty or staff member, alum, Horned Frog parent, supporter, trustee, prospective student or friend of TCU – thank you for your interest and support. I look forward to seeing you on campus soon.
Lead on, Horned Frogs!
